人気グループ＜東方神起＞が、3メンバーと所属事務所＜SMエンターテインメント（以下：SMエンタ）＞間での争いでグループ解散の可能性が浮上している中、＜東方神起＞の80万人に及ぶファンクラブ会員までもが事務所に立ち向かう行動を起こしている。
13日、＜東方神起＞のファンクラブ＜カシオペア＞は、公式ホームページに「SM Ent.不買運動案内」と掲げ、不買運動に乗り出した。
＜カシオペア＞は、16日に予定されていたSMエンタ所属歌手によるコンサートの無期限延期や、ファンクラブに対する不適切な待遇、そして専属契約条項の不当性などを問題として取り上げた。
今回の不買運動による対象商品は、SMエンタから発売された、また発売予定の音盤、DVD、写真集などをはじめ、着信メロディ、BGMなどのサービス、さらにはSMエンタが運営するカラオケボックスや外食店などだ。
＜カシオペア＞は「SMエンタ側は、＜東方神起＞3メンバーの専属契約効力停止仮処分申請とは関係なく公演を開催する立場を明かしながら、一週間前に突然の無期延期を発表した」とし「これは、チケットを購入した消費者に対する基礎的な配慮もない行為」と述べている。
続けて「SMエンタはファンを利用し、製品の質よりも量を発売することに重点を置いている」と消費者に対する処遇改善を訴えた。それとともに、「所属芸能人に対する不当契約条項の訂正がなされるまで、不買運動を継続する」と強調した。
一方、＜東方神起＞のジュンス、ジェジュン、ユチョンは7月31日、法律代理人を通し、ソウル中央地裁に専属契約効力停止の仮処分申請を提出し、今月3日には、所属事務所の契約条件に不当性があることを主張しながら、グループの解散は望まないと明かしていた。
しかし、SMエンタも同日、＜東方神起＞はある側面のみを不当だと強調しているが、デビュー後、現金だけでも110億ウォンを受領していると反論している。
